Design System exchange - why does Figma not exchange linking?

Hello,

I do it like that:

  1. I copy the design system file.
  2. I reattach it instead o the original.

The result still: Why the hell do components stay linked to the old one?? WHY??? It should look for them in the new file 1:1!
And this updating is constantly pain in the arse…

Please debug Figma, it’s the basics!

OK found it.

So you need to SWAP libraries. What an idiocy! Instead of just reattaching just like reattaching css would be (and then it finds out what’s there, what’s not), it needs a whole engine behind that… OK, still good.
