Change of role in the admin

Hello, I need to find out if there is any way to change the role of a page in the Figma application. The “Owner” is someone who no longer works with us and doesn’t communicate with us; their email is no longer functional. I only have the option to “Can edit,” and I need to become the “Owner” so that I can manage the page, add other people to it, and so on. Is there any way to do this? Thank you very much, Dorota

There are a couple simple options to take over ownership of your team’s resources if the original owner has left. As part of our security policy, we are not able to make administrative changes like this on your behalf, but I suggest considering the options below and trying the one that works best for you:

Option 1 - Recover the account using the original owner’s email address

Your IT team may be able to forward emails over from the original owner’s address to yours. You can then reset their password, log in, transfer ownership to your own account, and leave the team. Note: You can set up email forwarding even after the email address has been decommissioned.

Option 2 - Cancel this team’s subscription, then upgrade a new team

If there is a user with an admin role on this team, they can cancel the current subscription then allow it to expire. If there aren’t any remaining admins, we can remove the subscription’s card on file and prevent future renewals. In this case, please reach out to our support team here , and please indicate in the form to the support team the last 4 digits and expiration date of the credit card used for the subscription along with the last payment date and amount, and we will remove the card. (do not share personal detail in the Forum here in order to protect your privacy!)

Then you can create a new team under your ownership, upgrade it to a Professional plan, and move the original team’s projects into the new team.
