Can i render a modal (with some ui) on top of figma's showUI plugin modal

Hi All,
I am relatively new to figma and i am currently learning to build plugins for figma following documentation.
Figma plugins can render a modal using showUI, but I was wondering if i can show another modal on top of plugin’s modal? Is it possible, how? If not I would be greatfull to understand why.

It isn’t possible to open another plugin window, but you can display whatever you want (including a popup) within the one that you have.
