Hello I am struggling a little bit with understanding to payments for editor roles in organization plan. Checkout screen declares that I have 3 editor seats included in my team. Now my team contains just my seat. Does that mean that I can anytime after purchase add 2 more editors without being charged? Simply: I pay for 3 editors by purchasing organization license and it does not matter if i am actually alone in my team. Other 2 seats are ready to use without charge. If i had 3 people, i will be charged just for one. Thanks, Josef.

When you purchase an Organization plan, you’re paying upfront for the number of editor seats you’ve selected—in your case, 3 full seats.
- Since you’re the only editor on your team currently, the additional 2 seats are already covered by your payment. You won’t be charged extra if you add 2 more editors later; those seats are ready to use without any additional cost. So if your team grows and you fill all 3 editor seats, you won’t incur any extra charges beyond what you’ve already paying.
- If you go beyond the 3 included editor seats (e.g., adding a 4th editor), those additional seats will be charged during your next true-up period. True-ups are designed to give your team flexibility—you can upgrade members to full seats, and they’ll use those features immediately without upfront charges.

If you need to manage seats or review any upgrades, here’s how to do it:
- Open the file browser and click on Admin in the left sidebar.
- Go to the Members tab.
- Find the person whose seat you’d like to manage and click on their current seat type.
- Choose the appropriate seat type based on their role.

Hello, thank you for your response. It was overall helpful. But I have another question about billing. My company would prefer an invoice and I assume that I can manage who will get notifications and assign someone in my organization to be “payment guy” (even if he is not an editor). Is that assumption correct? Thank you.

Hey @Josef_Albrecht! Yes, your assumption is correct, you can assign someone in your organization to manage payments. To do this, you can upgrade their role to Admin from the Team Members tab.
The great news is they don’t need a full seat to manage billing, they can still serve as an admin with a Viewer or Viewer Restricted role. This way, they can handle payment notifications and invoices without being an editor.
