I’m running into an issue where Figma is trying to be a little bit too clever.
I’d like to have an icon in my button rotate a full 360º on hover. To do this I’m creating a component variant for the hover state. The problem is when I enter a rotation value of 360º or even -360º, Figma automatically converts it back to 0º.
It’s worth noting that this also happens if you enter a value of –180º. It will automatically convert it to 180º as if they are equivalent. Yes they are visually equivalent, but if I want my object to rotate clockwise instead of counter clockwise during an animation, I have no control over that.
I get why this is happening, but please let us enter our desired rotation angle even if it seems weird. Sometimes it has a purpose.
