Hi, it would be great if we could hide/remove rows/columns if all the content inside the row/column is hidden/deleted. That is, the grid’s dimensions get adjusted dynamically based on the content instead of being fixed always.For example: In this 3x3 grid, if I delete/hide “C”, then the second row should be deleted/hidden such that the grid looks like a 2x3 grid instead. My biggest issue with Figma Jam is tables. For instance, it's impossible to paste complex data from a Google Sheet into a selected table. You can only paste into a cell or create a new table; you can't paste into an existing one. You could paste as a new table and then copy a column to paste into another table, but that's just a mess I can't deal with.Basically, it’s a half-baked component. Figma team, please take a look at the Miro table component and its capabilities if you want more people to use your tools.

The presentation view needs to support zoom. Currently it’s impossible to view large frames in presentation view as we’re limited to 3 options: 100% display at full size Fit scale down to fit Scale down or up to fill #1 displays the content too big, and #2 and #3 display the content too small.

I am experiencing, that every time I use iOS26 components from Apple’s recent Figma UI-kit to make a prototype, my phone (iPhone16) lags like crazy and all interactions seem sluggish. It is very annoying that liquid glass is killing the prototyping experience. Also drains the battery Happens both with a mirrored frame or a prototype link. And also only between two screens.Anybody else experiencing this? 

In Adobe Photoshop, you can use the transform tool to distort and change the angle of an image. For example, if you need to change the angle of an image within an iPhone device mockup. I wish I was able to do this within Figma the same way I use it in Photoshop. 

The current Tables feature in Figma feels quite limited. It would be fantastic if some basic functionalities could be introduced soon, such as: • The ability to easily resize cells without needing to adjust font size • The option to merge cells • Top, middle, and bottom text alignment options These enhancements would bring Figma’s table functionality more in line with what we already have in tools like Keynote and Google Slides.

One important feature is missing = Merging cells 😦 Is this feature included as an improvement in the near future?

I use the assets panel frequently to use our design system. The new layout with the sidebar obscures when our team’s library has updated, and it feels much slower to find and access assets. Instead staying in the same work area it feels cumbersome to move horizontally to the side nav, then back up to the search bar in the assets panel. I really dislike the new navigation, though I can understand wanting a clearer separation between these two domains. It just makes it slow for me as a user. 

Right now there is no simple way to have a conversation with an LLM about a set of designs (Page/File/selected amount of artboards) in Figma. Copying/pasting screenshots is not feasible because a screenshot big enough to capture the contents of a page in figma would be way too large to paste into an LLM. Use cases: As a designer, I’m being onboarded onto a complex project and want to get up to speed as quickly as possible. I can chat with an LLM about the PRD, but not about a Figma file. It would be great if an LLM could natively scan page page or entire file and allow me to ask questions about the file without me scanning every single artboard manually to start.  I want to get feedback on a user flow/design/set of designs. This would be a big unlock because I think that AI is good at exploring the solution space for a problem when properly described/articulated but it’s a very manual time-consuming process because there is no visual element to it. 

Hello Figma! I can not change the direction of the Autolayout on the instances of a component. I can not understand why such a great feature is disabled on the instances and why not allow us to overwrite it? There are so many incidents that I would have wished to be able to change the direction of the Autolayout in the instances of the component but right now I have to create multiple variants. 😦

No brainer. I’ve either had to ask clients to record a loom of themselves going through a Make prototype or me having to screenshot EVERY SINGLE PAGE of the prototype then send them PDFs so they could comment on it.If there’s a new QOL feature that’s gonna be added to Figma Make, it should be commenting.

Especially with the recent Variables update. It’s more important than ever to have the ability to migrate all the old Styles with new Variables. However, the current behavior is that it only matches whatever “name” is the same. This makes the whole swapping library a very underpowered feature. Ideally, it should simply allow us to pick Variables or Styles to swap with the old library. This has been requested back in 2021.

It should be possible to swap library components manually. In this screenshot, I’m swapping a icon library for another, but the icons are not named the same, so I can’t finish the job. Why can’t I simply select the component I want to replace it with? Even worse, there’s no way to select the components from the old library to swap them them manually one by one. Component instances from my old library are scattered in pages and there’s no efficient way to select instances from a certain library (apart from the swap library modal). I’ve looked at so many plugins and none of them can get it done. It’s such a pain and could be resolved easily. btw - the same applies to “Missing Library.” Because I can’t swap them to an arbitrary library, I’m left with ghost components that I can’t even locate.

Please answer the questions as soon as possible. Any approximate date to next release.

Firstly great job Figma Font variables are here!!! Figma tutorial: Variables for typography The only thing missing is the use of percentages in the line-height property. You can not use a percentage in the line-height as it only accepts variables that are a number type. Although the variables for line-height caters for pixel (absolute) line-heights (10,12,14)- it does not accommodate relative line heights. In other words you can’t use percentage variables for line heights that are a percentage of the font size (100%, 120%,150%).

Hey folks, first of all I love the new variable function. Within the setup of spacings I want to reference my base value (“8”) and do calculations, e.g. (spacing-base)*2". This works fine and the value is calculated properly within the input to add a new variable. But I expected not that the calculation string changes to the absolute value. With this behaviour I loose the connection/ reference to my base value and the calculation is some how obsolete. Does anybody feel the same? Will there be an update? Thanks

I want to make a prototype where something changes when user scrolls content. I want to keyboard collapse when user starts scrolling content, but it’s impossible to do with drag action. Or it feels unnatural Or am I missing a way to do it with existing tools?

I use Grammarly app across a lot of platforms, but it does not work on Figma unfortunately. It would be amazing to be able to run Grammarly on Figma.

Currently, the section title is outside the section box only on the highest level. When a section is nested, the title jumps inside the section box and overlaps content unless you expand the section box. The option to choose if the section title is inside or outside the section box would be really useful. 

Currently there is a huge limitation in prototyping possibilities because any dropdown menus appear underneath the following element in the autolayout flow. I can’t remove autolayout because it would break designs across all useage of design system components and we can’t properly demo prototypes. Anchored by the lack of a customizable z-index property.
