Does figma offer the option to refund credits when it's system makes a critical error?

I cannot understand the following. Figma Make makes a destructive mistake and uses credits. It then uses additional credits to fix the mistake it made. If it applies the wrong “fix”, it uses even more credits to address the issue. 

If it recognizes it’s addressing an issue caused by the AI, why does it continue charging a user to address the problem. This is my hugest pain point with this product and pricing model.

    I hear you.  I understand how frustrating it must feel when credits are being used to fix something Figma Make didn’t get right the first time. Please note that new iterations are treated as a separate requests, which is why additional credits are used even when you’re refining or correcting a previous result. That said, your point about it feeling like you’re “paying to fix the AI’s mistake” is completely valid, and it’s feedback we’ve been hearing from others as well.
     

    To clarify, if a prompt fully fails and no output is generated, credits aren’t deducted. But in cases where the AI produces something (even if it’s not what you intended), follow-up changes are currently counted as new requests, which is where that compounding effect can happen. Here are a couple of things that may help reduce some of that friction:

    • Break requests into smaller, single-action prompts
      • This can make outputs more predictable and help you validate each step before moving forward
    • Ask to confirm what it’s going to change before applying it
      • For example, having it describe the intended update first can help catch misinterpretations early

     

    The Figma Make team is actively thinking about how to make this experience feel more fair and predictable, whether that’s through better control over iterations, clearer visibility into credit usage, or improvements to how the AI handles corrections.
