Hello,

Figma Mirror hasn't been working for few days on my iPhone.

It used to work “ok” before but now, every time I want to use Mirror, I just see a black screen no matter what I try. The app correctly shows the selected frame prior to mirroring but as soon as I tap on “Begin mirroring”, I see nothing but a black screen.

  • I tried with different projects...
  • I restarted Figma on macOS...
  • I rebooted my Mac...
  • I restarted Figma on iOS…
  • I rebooted my iPhone…
  • I logged out/logged in again on macOS and iOS…
  • I “restarted” the preview from the iOS app

Just a black screen.

Can you help please?

Thank you,

Axel

Hey @Yacha_Toueg , thanks for following up!

I checked on our side and can confirm that our Technical Quality team was able to resolve the issue for @alpennec. If you're seeing a black screen in Figma Mirror after tapping “Begin mirroring” and you're currently on iOS 18.7.2 RC (Release Candidate), the problem may be linked to that specific RC build.

For the fix, please update your iPhone to the official stable version of iOS 18.7.2 (just released by Apple). Once updated, Figma Mirror should work again. So if you’re still on the RC build, please update by installing the stable version, then try mirroring again.

Still, if you're already on the stable 18.7.2 and/or still seeing the black screen, please reach out to our support team so we can investigate your case individually: Submit a bug report
Make sure to include:

  • Your iOS version
  • Figma Mirror app version
  • A short screen recording if possible

Hope this helps, and thank you all for flagging it!

Hi there! Thanks for sharing these details. It definitely looks unusual that the preview shows only a black screen, especially after all the troubleshooting you’ve already tried.
As a next step, could you also try fully uninstalling the Figma Mirror app and reinstalling it from the Apple App Store  to see if that helps? Sometimes a fresh install resolves sync issues.

If the issue continues, please fill out this form so our team can investigate it more closely: Submit a bug report
When submitting, please include:

  • The details you shared here
  • A note that the screen turns black after tapping “Begin mirroring”
  • A screenshot or screen recording if possible

Thanks again for all the information you’ve already provided, it will really helps the team narrow things down!
