Hey everyone,

Hope you're all having a productive week. I've run into a bit of a strange issue while working on a new project, and I'm hoping someone in the community might have some insight.

Project Overview

I'm currently mocking up a UI for a gaming community platform called fry999 com.[1] It's a pretty exciting project with a lot of complex elements, including player profiles, tournament brackets, and live stream integrations. We're building out a comprehensive design system to keep everything consistent.

The Problem

The main issue I'm facing is with our component library. We have a set of custom components for various UI elements (buttons, cards, modals, etc.). When I try to use these components in a new file, they don't seem to render correctly.

  • Initial State: The components look fine in the main library file.

  • Current State: When I drag a component from the Assets panel into a new design file, it either appears as a blank frame or with distorted elements.

  • Expected State: The component should appear exactly as it does in the library.

What I've Tried

I've already gone through the usual troubleshooting steps:

  • Restarting Figma

  • Updating to the latest version

  • Re-linking the library

  • Checking for broken links or missing fonts

Nothing seems to be working, and it's starting to slow down our workflow. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with their component libraries? I'm wondering if it might be a bug or if there's something I'm overlooking in my setup.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi! Me and my colleagues we have the same problem in some of our projects. We tried to do the same steps of resolution, but we cannot figured out how to solve. The project that we are working on it’s pretty huge, but we never had any type of disclaimer from Figma.
We’re trying to drag a component from the main library in another sub library or in another project file and for some components we’re not able to display it in the file.

It doesn’t happen in all the file, but happens for all the users in the same project.
